Acting headshots, modeling portraits and commercial photography of kids and teens photographed at our Torrance studio and throughout the South Bay of Los Angeles.

Every child brings something different to the camera. Some arrive ready to perform. Some need a little time. Some are quiet. Some barely stop moving. The goal isn't to make them all look the same. It's to create photographs that actually feel like the kid standing in front of me.

Kids Acting Headshots

For acting headshots, expression and personality do most of the work. We keep backgrounds and wardrobe from competing with the face and create enough variation to give agents, managers and casting professionals a real sense of who they're looking at.

Kids Modeling & Commercial Portraits

Modeling and commercial images give us more room to play with movement, wardrobe, body language and energy. My commercial photography background comes into play here, particularly when we're creating images that need to feel less like a traditional portrait and more like something you'd see in an ad or campaign.

Personality Over Posing

Kids don't need to walk into the studio knowing what to do. We use conversation, music, movement and plenty of direction to keep the session active without turning it into a posing exercise. The expressions I'm looking for often happen between the ones we planned.

Different Kids. Different Energy.

There isn't one correct expression for a kids headshot. Depending on the child and what the images are for, we may photograph everything from quiet confidence to big personality, laughter, intensity and the moments in between. The portfolio should show that range rather than a row of kids making the same face.
